Goal setting

We hope this course will help you reach some of your type 2 diabetes goals. These goals will be different for everyone. We’ve set out some goals we hope this course will help people achieve. These include:

  • To improve your knowledge of what type 2 diabetes is, why controlling it is important, and how it can be controlled
  • To improve your confidence in managing diabetes
  • To help you make informed choices which will lead to better overall health and wellbeing
  • To share experiences with other people through patient stories and social learning

On day 1 we will ask you to begin the course by filling out a pre-course questionnaire so that we can get an idea of what you would like this course to help you achieve. Start having a think about what your diabetes goals are just now so you can tell us about them when you start the course.
